DeVonda Ann Brown Recruiter Coordinator, and Jerri Willis, Executive Director, addressed the Warren Rotary Club at their Luncheon today. The talk included the mission of CASA to serve the children in foster care of the 10th Judicial District. They discussed the specific need for volunteers, and board members from the Bradley County area.
It is always such an honor to be able to attend the National CASA Conference in Atlanta. There were so many great speakers, advocates, and inspiration!

"You may never hear the story of the life you impacted, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep working to impact a life" -- speaker Chadwick Sapenter

"Your situation does not define you. If you work hard, you can do anything!.... You are enough!!" -Chadwick Sapenter

Former FBI Director James Comey and his wife and former CASA Patrice discussed their experience as foster parents and living a life of value, not just success. Thank you for choosing work with moral content." -James Comey

“It is easier to love a child than repair a broken adult.” Ron Clark, Founder, Ron Clark Academy

"There's a power in proximity. We all have to find ways to get closer to people who are suffering." Bryan Stevenson, Equal Justice Initiative
We are very thankful for our staff, volunteers, board members, and community members that made the Cajun Cookin’ Fundraiser and Auction possible. We sold hundreds of dollars in 50/50 raffle tickets, and received many sponsorships and auction items. The best part is we had fun. All the proceeds will go toward advocating for foster children in Southeast Arkansas until they reach safe and permanent homes. Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, board members, and staff for your help. We could not have done it without you and love each of you!

Sometimes important people come across your path at the very right time and make a very important contribution to our communities. That has happened a lot in 2018. Thank you to all of our CASA Advocate Volunteers for being the voice for children in the 10th Judicial District. 2018 is coming to an end but we have no doubt 2019 will be great!
We are esctatic that we were able to attend this year’s Arkansas State Conference 2018. We are even more excited to have our CASA Volunteers attend as well!
